Anti Bullying – Anti Racism – Anti Discrimination

We can do this —
* Make anti-discrimination law 2023 to cover all food and beverage businesses, retail premises, and car parks and to specify penalties for racial discrimination.
Give power to police to issue a penalty notice of $500 on the spot. This will fund social welfare and education.
* Add anti-bullying and anti-racism into strata community legislation.
Young strata communities are increasing in NSW.
Let us make clear in strata legislation: No Bullying. No Racism, No Discrimination.
* Change strata legislation to hold strata managers / managing agents accountable for their wrong.
Let us make clear in strata community legislation that strata managers/managing agents are accountable for their services and they can be held liable jointly with owners corporations.
* Reform NCAT to improve their multicultural diversity
In 2022 the NSW Supreme Court has appointed two new judges with culturally diverse backgrounds.
Now it is time for the grassroots tribunal NCAT to follow the trend and demonstrate more cultural diversity in order to more fairly and better serve the interests of the NSW multicultural community.
* Reform NCAT as Australia is reforming AAT.
Australia is abolishing and replacing its Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT), with concerns about its transparency in appointing tribunal members, as well as its independence, quality and efficiency in decision making.
Now it is time to overhaul the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) which connects more closely with local residents in NSW.
* Review boarding houses legislation: specify a statutory period for a termination or eviction notice.
Afford better protection to residential tenants and boarding house residents. Respect fundamental human rights while property rights are observed.
